You may have family and friends who are eternally lost, who find it difficult to believe a loving God will punish their disobedience. They may view "God letting them be lost" as God being mean spirited. But the Bible is clear:
According to (Isaiah 59:1-2), our iniquities and sins, have separated us from God. Our actions! As a result, God must turn His face against us - 1 Peter 3:12

In Genesis 2:16-17, God told the man what he could and could not do. In Genesis 3:14-19, Adam & Eve are punished because they disobeyed God.
In Genesis 4, God respected Abel’s offering, which was made in obedience, but God did not respect Cain’s offering, which was the offering Cain wanted to make, not the one God instructed. God's rejection put envy in Cain’s mind and lead him to murder his brother. God punished him - "…my punishment is greater than I can bear" - Genesis 4:13
Those who think God will not punish them for their disobedience because of God’s great love need to realize there is a penalty for sin. There is a price that must be paid for transgressing God’s law. And we all have sinned and must pay that price - Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23
God is not mean spirited. He is just, but not mean spirited! He has provided an escape from the guilt of sin. However, you must be obedient to Him and accept that payment, reconciling yourself to God. Read Revelation 22:17. Why not become obedience to God today?
Accept the Salvation that God offers: Hear - Believe - Repent - Confess - Be Baptized. Be Saved.
